Welcome to
Circle M Farm
Preservationists of the
Driscoll Line of American Soay Sheep

Soay sheep are the perfect addition to the small acreage farm interested in heritage breeds.  Soays are shy and easy to handle and require little to no maintenance since they are basically a wild species of sheep.  Soay meat has a delicate flavor much different then the common domesticated  breeds of meat sheep and because Soay only weigh between 75-100 pounds they are easy to butcher and process yourself. Even better, Soays are shearless. Their wool is very nice for spinning and there's no need for dying with its earthy colors.
ABOUT THE CIRCLE M HERD
The Driscoll line is my favorite because of the light golden colors, occasional pinto markings and the petite deer like stature. I only utilize polled ewes in my breeding program as this trait is disappearing in both American & British Soay herds.  That means our flock has some distinct qualities that make it highly desirable from a conservationists standpoint.

FOR SALE: We have decided to sell the remainder of our ewes & a young ram. These are the best specimens which we retained for ourselves. Here's an opportunity to acquire a very nice foundation herd at the reasonable price of $850.

2012 lambs will be available.
